Get Health'e'

improving health literacy one 'e' tool at a time

what is this site about?

Get Health'e' stands for "get health literate using 'e' tools".

Health literacy is about making it easy for people to find and understand information and services they need to be healthy.

This includes skills like:
  • knowing how to search for trustworthy health information online
  • talking with doctors
  • understanding health insurance terms.

There are thousands of websites about health and wellness.
Many of these sites give you information or sell products, but few help people learn about health literacy.

what does the 'e' mean?

Picture
Why isn't it Get Healthy? Good question! An 'e' refers to electronic tools or services, and eHealth refers to health and technology. Get Health'e' uses electronic tools to help you be health literate and healthy, so that is where the name comes from!
