what is this site about?

Get Health'e' stands for "get health literate using 'e' tools".

Health literacy is about making it easy for people to find and understand information and services they need to be healthy.

This includes skills like:
  • knowing how to search for trustworthy health information online
  • talking with doctors
  • understanding health insurance terms
  • knowing how to access and use services in health care and other systems.

There are thousands of websites about health and wellness.
Many of these sites give you information or sell products, but few help people learn about health literacy.

Why isn't it Get Healthy? Good question! The 'e' refers to electronic tools or services. Get Health'e' uses online resources to help you be health literate and healthy, so that is where the name comes from!
