social media

There are many social media accounts that people with disabilities and their caregivers think are helpful or enjoyable to follow. Some are focused on school services, others are focused on advocacy, and others are mainly support groups.

It is also helpful to find groups or accounts specific to your disability (or the disability of your child).

You can also try to find local or state Facebook groups for parents and people with disabilities area. Those can be the most helpful in terms of finding out about local health care providers, services for people with disabilities, and programs.

Links are provided for Facebook accounts. Many of these accounts also have websites or social media pages on Twitter, Instagram, or other sites. There is also some great disability content on TikTok!!
